Holy Spirit Lutheran Church was founded in 1964 as a congregation of the Synod of Alberta and the Territories, Northern Area, within the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC). In turn, the ELCIC is a member of the Lutheran World Federation, the Canadian Council of Churches, and the World Council of Churches.
Since 2008, the Holy Spirit Lutheran Church has been a Reconciling in Christ congregation. Since 2009, we have also been an accredited Greening Congregation under the ELCIC's Stewardship of Creation program.
